Fashion File 3

Four Fashion Tips Straight From Hollywood's Red Carpet Los Angeles Times March 5, 2016 Some of today's red carpet looks have been very daring, but they are very trendy. The leg split has become a very popular trend since Angelina Jolie pulled it off at the 2012 Academy Awards red carpet. The leg baring, thigh high look is very sexy and not too revealing. Kerry Washington wore a Atelier Versace leather bustier and a white skirt at the Oscars. Laverne Cox wore Prabal Gurung at the Screen Actors Guild Awards and Jennifer Lopez wore a Giambattista Valli number from the Golden Globes. Also Taylor Swift dared to wear a magenta Atelier Versace Grammy Awards skirt with aslit up the middle ending at her belly button area. Another fashion trend was the deep v plunge. Not everyone can pull this look off. It has a lot to do with confidence. Many stars like Jaimie Alexander at the Golden Globes, Bella Hadid in Alexandre Vauthier at the Grammys, and Demi Lovato at the Grammy Awards. Charlize Theron wore a red silk Christian Dior Haute Couture gown included a dangling necklace using 48.8 carats of diamonds. Margot Robbie wore a golden leather appliqué at the Academy Awards. Cutouts is another trend that is popular amongst the stars. Adele's Grammys dress was very subtle while Selena Gomez wore something more visible at the Grammys and Brie Larson at the Golden Globes both in Calvin Klein. Rooney Mara wore Givenchy at the Oscars and Kaley Cucuo was in Naeem Khan at the Grammys. Julianne Moore's embellished black Chanel gown at the Oscars had two triangular cutouts that balanced the neckline and pulled everything together. Another style that was popular this season was the color green. Marisa Tomei wore Zuhair Murad, Kate Winslet in Armani and Eva Langoria wore Julien Macdonald at the SAG Awards. Saoirse Ronan was stylishly wearing the Calvin Klein Collection at the Oscars and jade Rachel McAdams wore the color jade in August Getty. These fashions seem sexy and coservative. The green palette was very popular with the stars. Many of these looks have been seen in the past and somehow they always make their way around again depending on the season. All the trends we see are trends that never get old.
